1200cc conversion oops

Anybody have a good trick for fishing a wrist pin clip out of the crank case. :oops: On the outside of the fly wheel on the (cam) right side. 99 sportster. I don't really want to crack it open :!:

Doh...

I don't know if you have the patience, but you might try fishing around in there with one of them magnets attached to a flex tube. It might be a long shot but...

Thanks, I tried that with a cheapo magnet,with no luck. I just bought a much better one that is flexable. I think maybe I cn go thru one of the cam holes and lifter holes (sort of like the old opperation game)

That's kinda what I was thinkin'. Or maybe through the top where the rods come out of the cases (if you've got the jugs off).

I gave up and pulled and split the crankcase. Got that little sucker out though. I got most of it back together. Pick up gaskets tomorrow and this will be like a bad dream.
